In the beginning ... |
In 1971, the
seeds were planted for the growth of Ruff's Greenhouses by Otto Ruff.
Our first greenhouse was built in 1973. This would be home to a thriving
selection of bedding out plants. In 1981, the original focus of Ruff's
Greenhouses changed dramatically. The B.C. Ministry of Forests was in
need of private nurseries for trees. Environmental issues were making
headlines and reforestation was a priority. At Ruff's Greenhouses, we
jumped at the opportunity to be a vital part of the industry, and pursued
the growth of tree seedlings. |
